We want our tenants to get involved with Fairfield Housing Co-operative, to be part of our work and decisions. There are several ways for you to participate in our work, from joining our board to responding to our surveys, so please think about taking part.
Our board of tenant Directors guides the strategic running of the Co-operative guiding policy, performance, business planning and financial management. Board membership is available to any shareholding tenant and there are a maximum of 15 board members. This role is not as daunting as it sounds, as you get full training and you only have to commit to a minimum of a few hours each month. If you are interested in joining the board, please contact any member of staff for an informal chat.
The panel is a less formal group, but of no less value to our work. Currently we have 20 tenants on the panel and they have agreed to give us feedback four times a year on:
They also help us with the content of tenant-driven publications and can challenge Co-operative decisions.
