Rental & Service Charge Increase Consultation 2018/19

Annually we consult with you on the proposed rent and service charge increase for the following year.  In reviewing the rent and service charges we take into account a range of factors including the current rate of inflation, affordability of your rent, the anticipated investment of our homes and providing a high quality service to all tenants.

For this year we are proposing an increase of 2.9% which amounts to approximately £8.00 per month dependent on the size of your home. We have worked hard to ensure that we can offer the lowest possible increase which is significantly below current inflation and either lower or comparable than the increases proposed by other housing providers in the local area.

During the next year we intend to:

  • Investing in your homes including commencing a new kitchen replacement programme, replacing gas boilers, ongoing bin store door upgrades and installation of new smoke alarms
  • Bringing 30 new homes to our communities in Muirton
  • Providing an increased caretaking service
  • We celebrate our 30th year and will be recognising this milestone with various events throughout the year
